Early life and education:


Mohan Reddy was born on 12th October 1950. He completed his schooling in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. His interest in mechanical engineering has led him to graduate in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering in Kakinada, Andhra University. He completed a master’s in management engineering from the University of Michigan in the USA and industrial engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kanpur. He then started working with Shriram Refrigeration Industries Ltd. of the DCM Group. He played a vital role in the assembly line operations of diesel engine production. He then worked for companies like MICO, Bosch, and HCL. Finally, he joined OMC Computers as a managing director. He learned about the extensive engineering design and solutions for capability based in India with global delivery through local customer interface and project management.

Career:


In 1991, he founded Infotech Enterprises, which is now known as Cyient. He led several initiatives for the industrial companies to eventually grow. It initially started with engineering services to global markets. The company specialises in engineering services, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and IT services. He is known as the pioneer of CAD/CAM in India. The business is well-known for its Global Engineering Services, which it provides to clients in the aerospace, rail, marine, automotive, energy, plant engineering, semiconductor, HiTech, consumer, medical, utilities, telecom, and government sectors.

In 2013 the company was named in its initial public offering. The business purchased Cartographic Sciences from Analytical Surveys, Inc. The company had a breakthrough with a leading aircraft engine manufacturer in 2000.
