In order to boost women’s economic development in India, the Mahindra Group and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have signed a memorandum of cooperation. The Mumbai-based multinational firm said in a statement that the two-year memorandum of cooperation (MOU) represents an important step toward realising its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) pledge to have an impact on one million women annually starting in 2026.

The alliance will work in the area of gender equality, concentrating on initiatives that support impoverished women’s economic emancipation.

The scope would involve major players including the government, institutions, NGOs, corporations, etc. working together with both organisations on collaborative programmes.

“This collaboration is essential to our Rise philosophy, which aims to improve the quality of life in our neighbourhoods. Together, we will develop a cooperative platform that, by utilising technology, will offer comprehensive solutions to disadvantaged women all over the nation, “Anish Shah, managing director and CEO of the Mahindra Group, remarked.
He saysDirector of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s India Country Office, Hari Menon, claimed that the collaboration will hasten India’s national development.
