Mohan Reddy was born on 12th October 1950. He completed his schooling from Kakinada Andhra Pradesh. His interests in Mechanical engineering have made him graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering in Kakinada, Andhra University. He completed Masters from Management Engineering from the University of Michigan in USAand Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kanpur. He then started working withShiram Refrigeration Industries Ltd. of the DCM group. He played a key role in the assembly line operations in Diesel Engine production. He then worked for companies like MICO Bosch and then HCL. He joined OMC computers as a Managing Director. He learnt the extensive engineering design and solutions for capability based in India with global delivery by local customer interface and project management
In the year 1991, he founded the Infotech Enterprises which is now known as the Cyient. He led several initiatives for the industrial companies to grow eventually. It initially started with engineering service to global markets. The company is specialized in Engineering Services, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and IT services. For this he is known as the pioneer of CAD/CAM in India.
