Following reports that Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, was interested in purchasing English Premier League clubs Liverpool and Manchester United, the renowned Indian businessman is back in the news and is now saying that he would prefer to purchase Arsenal over any other team.
Akash Ambani, the son of Mukesh, is reportedly a huge Arsenal supporter and will choose to sign with them over other clubs. Arsenal is currently leading the Premier League under Mikel Arteta’s direction.
Following the Glazer family’s announcement that they do not want the ownership rights of the Old Trafford club, the Ambani family was previously associated with purchasing interests at both Liverpool and Manchester United.
The Ambani’s are very involved in the sports community and now own the Mumbai Indians of the Indian Premier League. Five times in a row, the Mumbai Indians have won the IPL.
