Manoj Bhargava, an Indian American billionaire businessman and philanthropist, was born in 1953. He is the creator and CEO of Innovations Ventures LLC, also known as dba Living Essentials LLC, which is well recognised for manufacturing the popular energy drink known as the 5-hour Energy drink.

Early life 

Manoj Bhargava was born on 1 January 1953, in Lucknow, India. He spent his early years in India and moved to the United States in 1967 when he was just 14 years old. Bhargava grew up in a family that was not wealthy, and he worked odd jobs to make ends meet. After moving to the United States, he attended Princeton University but dropped out after a year to travel around Europe and Asia.

Career 

In the early 1970s, Bhargava returned to the United States and worked various jobs, including driving a taxi in New York City. He eventually moved to Philadelphia and started a business selling women’s clothing, which he later sold for a profit. Bhargava then moved to Colorado and started a plastics company that produced parts for the automotive industry. After founding his first company, Prime PVC, he went on to start Living Essentials.

In 1990, Bhargava founded Living Essentials also known as Innovations Ventures LLC, a consumer products company that produces health and wellness products. Living Essentials is best known for its 5-hour Energy drink which he developed in 2004. The drink is marketed as a quick and convenient way to boost energy levels and improve focus without the crash associated with other energy drinks and has become a popular energy supplement in the United States. Living Essentials has become one of the fastest-growing companies in the United States, with estimated annual revenue of over $1 billion.

Bhargava has also been involved in a number of other business ventures. He has invested in several start-ups, including the tech company Eureka and the healthcare company Health Warrior.
